[Shell Beach,LA] I had the pleasure of fishing with Omar once again. He is from San Diego and has fished with me several times before. Gary also was onboard with us. The wind was blowing out the NE when we pulled out so we hit the marsh looking for some Reds. At our first stop the guys put 6 nice Reds in the boat.
[Shell Beach,LA] Both days I had the pleasure of fishing with two different father and son teams. The conditions for both days were very windy. Both days my crews had a great time and caught lots of fish in tough conditions.
[Shell Beach,LA] We did a lot of drifting fishing with Bayou Chubs under a cork. The Trout were nice sized, but hard to come by. The water may have been a little dirty for the Trout, but the Reds and Drum did not mind it.
[Shell Beach,LA] The wind was howling this morning as we pulled out. We headed over towards Four Horse and the guys worked hard for 18 keepers and a bunch of throwback Trout fishing with Bayou Chubs under a cork. Our next move was to look for some Reds.
[Shell Beach,LA] We got a late start and the guys wanted Redfish. We started out right off the MRGO picking up one 28 Red and few nice Trout. We then moved into the marsh fishing some ponds with Campo's live minnows and dead shrimp under a cork.
[Shell Beach,LA] November and December were very busy and fishing has been outstanding. The weather was warm and there was little wind. We drifted several lagoons and lakes catching some very nice Trout. The action was not fast, but the quality Trout filled up the box.
[Shell Beach,LA] The last couple of weeks have been very busy and the fishing has been great. Lots of fish caught and memories made. Here are a few reports of some of the trips.
[Shell Beach,LA] Been very busy the past couple of weeks and have not been able to keep up with reports. The fishing has been great with lots of fish and happy customers. Limits or close to them everyday.
[Shell Beach,LA] For a change of pace we went out a little further than where I have been fishing lately and headed to the edge of the Sound. We made a couple of stops and got on some nice Trout with Campo's live shrimp under a cork.
[Shell Beach,LA] We started off near Hopedale fishing with Campo's live shrimp on the bottom and got on a good bite. The guys put some nice Trout and some big Heads in the boat.
[Shell Beach,LA] We headed over behind Hopedale and caught the last of the falling tide. We got on a good Trout bite and the kids were having a blast reeling in Trout after Trout.
[Shell Beach,LA] We hopped around to different areas using different techniques, but could not get them going. By this time the wind had laid down nicely so we made a run out to Black Bay. I was surprised to see decent looking water. Finally the corks started to go down and up to the surface would come a big mad Trout.
[Shell Beach,LA] We headed to a Redfish spot I like in Oak River where we l started to put some fish in the boat. It was not a fast bite, but was steady enough. The guys put a few Reds in the box and some nice Trout too fishing with Campo's live shrimp under a cork.
[Shell Beach,LA] We headed over to a bayou behind Hopedale where the tide was falling nicely. The Trout were eating up the Campo's live shrimp on a Carolina rig. The Trout were nice sized and there were Drum and a few Reds mixed in. We were close to our limits of Trout as the action slowed a little so we went a looked for some Reds.
[Shell Beach,LA] There also was some Puppy Drum mixed in with the Trout to make the drags scream. The bite would slow down a little the pick up again. With a good bit of Trout in the boat we went and looked for a few Reds.
[Shell Beach,LA] We started off fishing is a bayou behind Hopedale with live shrimp on a Carolina rig and the Trout ate it up. The Trout were good sized and there were some White Trout mixed in along with some Drum and Heads. The trick was to keep the bait moving.
[Shell Beach,LA] The wind was whipping and the tide was high. We headed on into the Biloxi Marsh and fished with Campos live shrimp under a cork. We made a bunch of stops picking up a few fish at each.
[Shell Beach,LA] We moved over a little drain in the bayou we were fishing and the Reds were piled up in it. It was blast with Reds going nuts hitting the corks and watching Caled fight them.
[Shell Beach,LA] The wind was howling out of the north so no way we could head outside. We headed over a favorite fall area of mine in the marsh to see if the Trout were there. The Trout were there and ate up our live shrimp on the bottom of the bayou.
[Shell Beach,LA] We finally figured out how the Trout wanted the bait. On the bottom on a Carolina rig and you had to keep it moving. Once we did the guys started hauling in some good Trout.
[Shell Beach,LA] The guys started hauling in Trout after Trout with live shrimp under a cork. The action was fast and fun. The Trout were so aggressive they were hitting the corks. I had one pole set up with a Top Dog and the guys took turns with it.
[Shell Beach,LA] We headed closer in into Eloi and the water in there the clearest I have ever seen it. Fishing with live shrimp under a cork the Trout were eating up and it was a blast to be able to see them strike in the clear water.
[Shell Beach,LA] At our first stop the first Trout to hit the box was a solid 5 pound fish. Fishing with croakers on the bottom we put some more pretty Trout on ice.
[Shell Beach,LA] We moved closer in to fish on the protected edges and got on a few good Trout with lots of throw backs mixed in. We then worked the rocks for a little while where Jennifer caught the Trout of the day.
[Shell Beach,LA] Conditions were perfect as we left Campo's. Our fist stop produced some nice Trout along with the occasional Bull Red and Jack.
[Shell Beach,LA] It did not take long for Jennifer to get things started with a big Red. After that some big fat Trout to came to the boat. Our Trout action was cut short by the Running of the Bulls. The big Reds showed up big time and just would not leave us alone no matter how many stops we made.
[Shell Beach,LA] We finally found a wellhead that did not have a boat on it and got on a steady bite with live shrimp under a cork. Eventually the bite slowed down so we made a move to a less crowded area and got the Trout going pretty good near a shoreline.
[Shell Beach,LA] We started out in Eloi and got a couple bites with the Campo's shrimp under a cork, and on the bottom. Once we had a good box of Trout together we headed out into the Sound to look for some big Trout to add to the box.
[Shell Beach,LA] We moved over to the other side of the MRGO and got on several fast Trout bites, but lots of small fish. We got on one good bite of decent Trout that was cut short by Flipper. The porpoise moved in to get in on the Trout action too.
[Shell Beach,LA] We started out not far from the MRGO and got on a good Trout bite with Campo's shrimp under a cork. When the tide slowed down our bite stopped so we made a few moves and got on a few bites.
[Shell Beach,LA] We ended up going back to the rig we started out at in hopes that the Reds had moved on. It did not take long to get the Trout turned on and the box was filling fast with big Trout.
[Shell Beach,LA] We started out in Eloi and got a good Trout bite with Campo's live shrimp under a cork. The guys had to weed through some throwbacks, but put 40 good ones on ice. I then made a suggestion that we could go find some bigger Trout and they were all in.
[Shell Beach,LA] We made a stop in Eloi and got on a good Trout bite with live shrimp under a cork. The guys also caught some nice ones on croakers with a light split shot rig.
[Shell Beach,LA] We made a move to the other side on the MRGO and made several stops picking up Trout at each. The guys had a great time and fished hard. They were rewarded with 125 Trout, 1 Red, and 2 Sheepshead.
[Shell Beach,LA] The Trout were eating up the live shrimp under a cork, and I joined in on the action with a Top Dog. The Trout were nothing big, but fast and the best eating size, 13-16.
[Shell Beach,LA] Kevin made the first cast with a live shrimp under a cork and it was and instant Trout. From there it was non stop till we hit 85 Trout on ice at 7:45.
[Shell Beach,LA] We started out on the edge of the Sound picking up a few nice big Trout, but the action was slow. We made a move a little closer in and got on some action, nothing fast, but good Trout and steady.
[Shell Beach,LA] We left the dock around 11am and hit a couple of close spots where they caught some nice Trout, a couple of Reds, Drums, and several Sheepshead. We then worked our way out to Eloi and got on a good Trout bite.
[Shell Beach,LA] We started out on the edge of the Sound and the guys caught some very nice Trout and some keeper Reds, but the bite was very slow. We made a move closer in and got on a good and fast Trout bite.
[Shell Beach,LA] We started out on the edge of the Sound fishing with Campo's live shrimp under a cork and got on a good bite of some very nice Trout. The action was fast for a while, but slowed up.
[Shell Beach,LA] We got on a good bite right from the start. Campo's live shrimp under a cork brought plenty of bad luck to the Trout and good luck to my crew.
[Shell Beach,LA] Once again the Trout were eating up. We even caught a few on Top Dogs for the fun of it. By 8:30 our limits were done.
[Shell Beach,LA] It was fast as you could cast action at our first stop. The Trout were very aggressive and slamming the Campo's live shrimp under a cork.
[Shell Beach,LA] We headed out to the Sound with a well full of Campos live shrimp and a few croakers. Our first 2 stops were duds, but at the third stop the guys put some nice Trout in the boat.
[Shell Beach,LA] At our first stop the guys started putting some pretty Trout in the boat fishing with live shrimp on the bottom. There also were a few big Reds mixed in to bend the poles and make the reels scream.
[Shell Beach,LA] Three days of fishing fun with three different groups. All caught plenty of fish and had a great time on the Beach.
[Shell Beach,LA] We made a couple of moves catching Trout at each. The bite would start and stop, then start again.
[Shell Beach,LA] We needed another 11 Trout to finish off our limits so we stopped back over where we started out and the Trout were eating up. In a few minutes limits were done and the fish box was over flowing. Total take home for the day was 75 Trout, 6 Reds, 17 Heads, and 1 Flounder.
[Shell Beach,LA] It took a while to find them, but when we did it was fast limits of pretty Trout. They had a great time catching a lot of fish.
[Shell Beach,LA] We found some Trout at each stop, but never could get on a good bite going. There were lots of trash fish around mixed with the Trout. They put together a good box of fish and had a great time in the blazing sun. Total for the day was 35 Trout, 3 Reds, and 12 Sheepshead.
