David Rogers
(6/30/2007)
The month of June is gone, but some awesome memories were made. Most of my clients caught the largest redfish of their lives and many caught the largest fish of their life. July and August will be hot as always. The key is to go early and finish by noon. The top water bite really heats up.

We have also been taking our share of trout that are on the flats as well. Shrimp finger mullet and my favorite Gulp will get you a strike. I like casting the pumpkinseed and the chartreuse sinking minnow or turtleback worm way ahead of our drift.

Mosquito Lagoon Hot Redfish Bite Report by
Chris Myers
(11/05/2006)
Cooler water temperatures have brought about a hot redfish bite. Monday's trip to the Mosquito Lagoon was a perfect example of the variety of the redfish diet this time of year. I landed ten redfish and had quite a few more bites on a variety of baits. The gold DOA Baitbuster is still drawing aggressive strikes from redfish of all sizes. I have been working this bait on or just under the surface with a moderate and steady retrieve.

As a true native, his knowledge of the area is 33 years strong and is now a full-time guide on the Banana and Indian Rivers in addition to the world famous Mosquito Lagoon. When not fishing in tournaments or guiding clients, Capt. Tom spends his days off fishing. He has a real passion for life and fishing, to him nothing is more important - just don't tell that to his wife.

Now is the time to sight fish in the Mosquito Lagoon. It is an awesome way to fish. If you enjoy casting to tailing redfish now is time to go fishing. I love fishing in very shallow water and the challenge of casting to fish in less than 12 inches of water.

Indian River Lagoon Coast Fishing Forecast by
Tom Van Horn
(9/28/2006)
Shallow water fishing forecast for October on the Indian River Lagoon Coast of Florida. Shorter days and cooler nights are a sure sign fall is in the air along Florida's east central coast. Another sure sign of fall is the waves of baitfish working their way south through the lagoon and along the beach as the fall bait run commences.
