[Vancouver Island,BC] Sockeye Salmon are the best tasting salmon of all.They range from 5 to 10 pounds and are still a fun sport fishery and are still wonderful when barbecued or processed in a cold smoke or Indian candy.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The 2010 sport fishing season for salmon on the west coast of Vancouver Island was predicted to be one of the best years in the last 20. This is turning out to be very true.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The Steelhead fishing in the Stamp River located close to Port Alberni Vancouver Island will pick up. The big rains have gone and the river will come down which will help pickup the sport steelhead fishing.
[Vancouver Island,BC] 2009 is certainly one of the best years for fishing salmon in a long time. The waters along the beaches or surf line of Vancouver Islands West Coast and into Barkley Sound has been loaded with Coho, Chinook and Pink salmon. Fishing continues to be very good.

[Vancouver Island,BC] The Stamp River has some excellent fishing for Steelhead. Fresh fish coming into system daily
[Vancouver Island,BC] Wednesday was again a godd day of salmon fishing in the Swale Rock area of Barkley Sound. Anchovy was the best bait. Guests from florida were treated with some good sized salmon and treated by a pod of killer whales which put on an amazing show.
[Vancouver Island,BC] Chinook fishing picked up in Barkley Sound over the last three days. Charters had the opportunity to catch some chrome Chinook Salmon ranging twelve to twenty-three pounds.
[Vancouver Island,BC] Fishing for salmon in the Barkley Sound area has picked up over the last few days. The largest salon since the weekend is 19 pounds.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The Salmon fishing around the Ucluelet area has really picked up over the weeekend. Biggest fish of the last few days was mid twenties.
[Vancouver Island,BC] Our Seafood Safari out of Ucluelet and Barkley Sound Vancouver Island is really picking up. some beautiful winter chinook and rock fish are coming into the mix.
[Vancouver Island,BC] Salmon Fishing on the west coast of Vancouver Island has improved. We are now picking up winter Chinook weighing 10 to 15 pounds. Plenty of prawns and crab for Seafood Safari.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The winter chinook fishing in Barkley Sound is picking up just in time for the Sproat Lake Derby in March
[Vancouver Island,BC] What a day on the Stamp River. The sun was out in full. The day was miraculous as was the fishing for steelies and Coho.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The weekend fishing off of the shoreline of Ucluelet located on Vanocuver Isalnd was very decent. We had halibut feeder Chinook and A couple of 14 pound Coho.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The Coho Fishing in the Stamp River has been excellent. With the Chinook now dropping their eggs the late summer Steelhead or Fall Steelhead fishng is really picking up.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The Salmon and Halibut fishing out of Ucluelet continues to be wonderful. There are plenty of Coho and Chinook and the Halibut are big.
[Vancouver Island,BC] Drift boat fishing in the Somass-Stamp River system has been very good. There are lots of coho in the system but for some reason we are missing some Chinook.
[Vancouver Island,BC] Bamfield is located in beautiful Barkley Sound on Vancouver Island British Columbia. The current salmon fishing in areas close to Bamfield continues to be very good.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The halibut fishing at the eighteen mile spot and Laparouse off of Ucluelet B.C. has been good. However the salmon continue to be close to shore which has made Barkley Sound a great destination for Coho and Chinook fishing
[Vancouver Island,BC] Salmon Fishing in the Barkley sound area of Vancouver Island B.C. has been outstanding. There are great numbers of chinook and coho in the area.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The Surfline of Barkley sound has had excellent salmon fishing. There is lots of bait in the area which is bringing the fish in.
[Vancouver Island,BC] With short tides the fishing offshore and in the protected waters of Barkley Sound has been very good. Limits in chinook and halibut are occuring.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The fishing out of Ucluelet Vancouver Island B.C. has been good for the last two to three weeks. Salmon fishing close to the Ucluelet Harbor had been good up to the beginning of this week.
[Vancouver Island,BC] Barkley Sound located at the end of the Port Alberni Inlet has had some excellent chinook fishing over the past few weeks. With the first migrating salmon making their way down the west coast of Vancouver Island the chinook and early coho fishing should get much better.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The long narrow Port Alberni Inlet winds its way out to the very open but protected waters of scenic Barkley Sound. Feeder chinook fishing is a little slower but the summer season looks great.
[Vancouver Island,BC] Bamfield is located on the South Shore of Barkley Sound. The little town is full of shops, galleries, and restaurants in lodges during the summer months. This is definitely a fishermans paradise. Bamfield is centrally located to some of the worlds best offshore salmon/halibut fishing for those adventurous fishermen. [Vancouver Island,BC] Winter Chinook fishing in Barkley sound is still quite good in the Sarita Bay and Vernon Bay Swale Rock areas. Summer 2007 sport fishing looks very good.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The summer of 2007 should see some fantastic fishing off the west coast of Vancouver Island. Ucluelet a small town nestled on one side by sandy beaches and on the other rainforest is on the doorstep of thousands of migrating salmon.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The winter chinook fishing in Barkley sound is still very good. The fish are bigger toward the surf-line but lots of nice fish close to Sarita and Bamfield.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The wineter steelhead fishing in the Somass-Stamp River in Port Alberni B.C. is very good. We are hooking into 12 to 14 fish per day per boat
[Vancouver Island,BC] Some late March winds have made it difficult to fish the west coast of Vancouver Island British Columbia. Winter chinook, halibut, and ligcod look good.
[Vancouver Island,BC] Winter Chinook fishing has been excellent for the last 10 days. The chinook are not big but they are in good numbers and are great battlers.
[Vancouver Island,BC] The herring spawn is just underway in the Barkley sound and the feeder (winter) chinook are numerous. Smaller fish in the area with biggest fish this week at 18 pounds
